INSPIRATION

As with many artists, a certain passion exists for the work they love to do. Although we understand that meaning for some clients is a must, Trent’s always aspires to blend beauty with subject matter so that the tattoo work needs no introduction. Trent will take inspiration from the female face, skulls, animals, flowers, statues from the renaissance era and artistic creativity using his signature elements you see in the work. Sometimes new creative spins can keep growing and expanding on the scope of work, so send us your ideas too! Please consider the work on his portfolio as a small example of what is possible with his work. Also please consider a lot of his top pieces are designed by him by taking the clients ideas and interpreting it into his style of design. its a process where a lot of trust must be in place. Lets work together to create the tattoo you have only dreamed of!

DESIGN PROCESS IN PERSON VS THRU EMAIL /messaging back and forth

All designs are done either by Trent himself on his ipad.. We can message each other via my instagram (@TRENTVALLEAU) or via email. Please send emails ONLY to TrentsTattoos@gmail.com - send info about what ideas you have and photo references, also a reminder about where on the body you are wanting it. Please specify if you're open to the artists interpretation or if you want the tattoo to be very close to your reference. It’s always enjoyable to have some freedom even on a custom design. We want to do the best work possible so being open minded about design fit and form to the body is important.

What should I do about TATTOO Placement

Preferred placement is arms or legs. Most of the designs are vertical format meant for the limbs. Unless a larger tattoo is desired such as ribs, stomach, back, . These areas are considered but are usually more time consuming, more painful and less visible than the "full sleeve" arm or leg projects Trent is usually working on..  Please mention the placement and size you are considering during your consult.

large scale work:

Larger works are always considered if the client is ready for the process. Both physically and financially. Something such as a sleeve in black and grey realism can take around 50 hours. Same for a back piece. A Rib piece or thigh can take easily 2-3+ sittings to complete. The pain is an increasing factor with longer sittings so we try to aim for 5-7 hour sessions. The entire day might range up to 10 hours including design, set up, etc.. However actual tattooing time is typically around 6 hours. It usually takes about 7 full days to complete a sleeve or back.  Its also preferred to have one final session to smooth everything out and touch up/ fix any healing mishaps.

Single day pieces:

The most common type of tattoo for Trent.  Where you start and complete the piece in one session. A piece usually the size of a baseball (such as a flower etc..) up to the size of a 5"x"8" area of skin can usually be completed in the standard session. The standard session is from 6-8 hours. Forearms are the preferred area for single session tattoos. Some pieces may require two days in a row depending on size and complexity of the design.

ALL OTHER QUESTIONS CAN BE ANSWERED AND EXPLAINED DURING THE FREE CONSULTATION. THANK YOU AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO CREATING ART TOGETHER!
